Giving
Your gifts allow us to continue to expand our unique programming and promote groundbreaking research and original scholarship in law and the life sciences.
We are grateful for leadership and targeted financial support from the University of Minnesota's President Robert H. Bruininks and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost E. Thomas Sullivan. We seek gifts so that we may continue to grow our extraordinary programs. Gifts allow us to continue to expand our unique programming to promote groundbreaking research and original scholarship in law and the life sciences.
The University of Minnesota has become the leading institution pioneering interdisciplinary training and research on the societal implications of the life sciences. We invite you to participate in our success.
In 2008-09 we received gifts for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. We also established a JDP Student Scholarship Fund and a Consortium Fund for Conferences and Lectures. We are grateful to JDP Advisory Board member Margo Struthers, JD, for providing the founding gift for JDP Student Scholarship Fund, and to the Consortium Chair and JDP Director Susan Wolf for creating the Wolf Scholarship for Joint Degree Program Students.
For more information, visit www.giving.umn.edu/giving_opps/outright_gifts/index.html. Private contributions are critical to ensure that the Consortium stays at the leading-edge of research and training, and to expand the Joint Degree Program's ability to recruit the best and brightest students to Minnesota.
Where your gifts are needed:
Joint Degree Program Student Support
Scholarship funding attracts top students, allows the program to be financially accessible to talented students from diverse backgrounds, and enables students to choose careers based on their unique interests rather than their debt burden.
Conferences & Lectures
The Consortium and Joint Degree Program co-sponsor lectures and an annual conference that brings in national scholars who speak on a wide-range of issues at the intersection of law and the life sciences.
Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology (MJLST)
The Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology is fast becoming a leading interdisciplinary journal in law, science, and technology and depends on private support as well as targeted financial support from the Presidential Initiative.
